Custom Storage Inspiration: Easy Storage for Pots and Pans

Love to cook, but don’t have the right storage for all your tools? Get inspired with these custom storage solutions.

Tired of searching the dark depths of your lower cabinets for the right size pot or pan for your cooking needs? If you’re like most of us, you probably have stacks of pots and pans occupying prime real estate in your cabinets next to your stove and oven, and every time you need one, you’re lifting part of the stack off, setting it on the counter, and searing for the one you need. Your search might be a lot easier with some of these cabinet accessories (some of which might even be able to be installed in your existing cabinets!) The lovely accessory above is a pot and pan pull-out with steel dividers to keep your pots and pans neatly organized and easy to grab.

There are a few other options that might also be worth considering, depending on how many pots and pans you have, what size they are, and what type of storage you have available next to your cooking surface. The images above show some other popular choices, like the lazy susan pot and pan holder, which would be located in a corner cabinet, then there are the popular roll out shelves, but these are designed specifically to keep pots and pans divided instead of stacked, and then there’s a convenient pull out, that can fit in narrower cabinets and gives you the ability to hang your pots and pans.

Pot and Pan Pull-out drawer

Of course, there are the ever popular pot and pan drawers, which have heavy duty hinges to support the weight of everything they hold. These drawers are often below a cooktop, but they don’t have to be. If you have an all in one range, but still want pot and pan drawers, we can design cabinets with a top drawer for cooking utensils and two pot and pan drawers below. These cabinets are often 30” - 36” wide and can fit just about any pot or pan you have, including a wok! To make sure you get exactly the kind of pot and pan storage you need, I always advise people to measure their largest pot and pan so we can make sure they have a home!
