Design Inspiration: Sustainable with Shells

Tapping into my ‘dark’ side for this striking combo of tile, color, materials, and cabinetry!

Get inspired to create your ideal space with these gorgeous color combinations that just happen to be sustainable materials!

More and more products are on the market now that are considered ‘sustainable’ or ‘green’ for one reason or another, whether it’s their recycled content, use of rapidly renewable materials, or maybe the products are locally made, cutting down on shipping pollutants.

Regardless, green/sustainable materials have come a looooong way over the years… your house doesn’t have to look like a hippie compound made of logs just because you did something good for the environment. You can have beauty and sustainability… and even some shells to go with it!

This IceStone slab is just the ticket! It’s made in the USA, composed mostly of recycled glass and Portland cement, and it’s scratch and UV-resistant (translation: it’s pretty tough stuff!) - but there’s more… this pretty little gem, Sky Pearl, also happens to have accents of Mother of Pearl. What’s even better than alllll that? It’s pretty much maintenance-free! These slabs used to have to be sealed on site, then re-sealed once a year, but now, they’re pre-sealed, and you never need to consider sealing it yourself! Check out the stats for yourself!
