A Whole House Remodel in Aptos, CA
When we update whole homes, it’s a chance to bring a similar feel throughout every space. For this home we embraced the warm, bright, and relaxing vibes you get at the beach. The kitchen features custom white and blue cabinets (with storage!), engineered hardwood floors, and lots of natural light. The primary bath features a wet room, barrier free shower, linear in-tile train, and soaking tub. See the finished project and read on below!
Project Details: This was a whole house remodel where we reconfigured the kitchen by making some changes to the interior walls, which made it larger and more functional and we re-used the existing appliances; we removed an interior closet and made the guest bath larger so we could have a longer vanity and a wider shower and we changed the layout of the primary bathroom slightly to create a spa-like wet room where the shower and free-standing tub are both behind a barrier free glass enclosure. This beach-side family vacation home features white oak engineered hardwood floors, variations of painted blue custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, porcelain tile flooring in the bathrooms, glossy white subway tile on the shower walls, with accents of glass and stone mosaics and chrome plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware.
