Coastal Chic Primary Bath:
A Light and Timeless Redesign

It's amazing how much larger a bathroom can feel when it's brand new!  This master bathroom had a functional layout, but was in need of an update!  The homeowners wanted something fresh, light, and timeless.  The flooring and shower walls are limestone tile, the vanity is stained maple cabinetry with soft close doors and drawers, which pair perfectly with the quartzite countertop, and the shell mosaic backsplash.  The plumbing fixtures are brushed nickel, as is the cabinet hardware, and the mirror picks up both the warmth of the tile and the silver of the fixtures.  The same shell mosaic pops in the recessed niche in the shower.

Project Details: This master bath was a ‘rip and replace’ project - everything was ripped down to the studs, and replace in the same location; we removed a tub to provide the homeowners with a shower that has a low curb for easy access if they decide to age in place in their home; we kept the pony wall between the vanity and the toilet, and installed new LED can lights. The floor tile is a tumbled travertine and the shower walls are a polished travertine tile; the vanity cabinets are cherry in the Morel stain from Dura Supreme, the countertop is Taj Mahal Quartzite and the plumbing fixtures are brushed nickel. The shower has a framed glass enclosure with sliding doors and the accent tile is a shell mosaic.
