Soothing Sanctuary

Prior to beginning this whole house remodel, the homeowners felt like they had a large enough house, but poorly utilized space.  Many years ago, the attached garage had been converted to a den and a mud room, but it still felt disconnected from the house and the area where they spent the most time - the kitchen.  The kitchen was small, but was open to the dining area and had sightlines into the living room and the primary bath was tiny!  The homeowners were right - they had a ton of space to work with so we completely reconfigured the entry, created an office, moved the dining room, doubled the size of the kitchen, moved the washer and dryer to create a laundry/mud room, reconfigured and remodeled the primary bath and the hall bath.  The homeowners loved blue and blue green tones and pops of color so we incorporated that into each space. 

The kitchen features custom cabinetry in a soft white and soft turquoise color, white oak engineered hardwood floors, Viking Appliances, zellige inspired 4”x4” backsplash tile from Tilebar, quartz countertops, and an apron front sink.  The primary bath features custom painted white cabinetry, quartz countertops, porcelain floor tile, a glass and stone mosaic accent tile and a free standing soaking tub and the hall bath features a prefabricated vanity from James Martin, porcelain floor tile, a barrier free, walk in shower, white subway tile, and a super fun feature wall with encaustic tile in shades of blue!
