Traditional Beauty:
A Whole House Remodel
This beautiful home had great bones, and the homeowners wanted to enhance the features they already loved. We replaced a totally dated kitchen with custom cabinets, two different stunning quartz countertops, travertine tile floors, mosaic, and stainless steel backsplashes, and created a much more functional walk-in pantry. We then replaced all of the flooring with engineered hardwood, and remodeled the hall bath and the master bath. Simply stunning!
Project Details: This entire house was remodeled, but in two different phases; first, the kitchen, living and dining rooms, then the two bathrooms. We replaced all the floorings throughout the house and painted the entire interior, but there were minor changes to the layout of the spaces - believe it or not, we added walls! The homeowners really wanted a walk-in pantry in the kitchen, and since there was plenty of space to work with. It was already an open-concept kitchen, and we framed new interior walls between the kitchen and the existing dining room wall to create a walk-in pantry; we moved the gas range out of the previous peninsula space so the new peninsula could be one solid quartz surface, perfect for entertaining and created a stainless steel tile feature on the new range wall. The cabinets are custom-stained alder, and the main backsplash is a glass and stone mosaic blend tile. The range is Wolf, and the double ovens are Miele. The bathrooms both have custom-stained wood cabinetry with quartz countertops; the guest bathroom has a nice soaking tub and a glass mosaic accent tile, and the primary bath has a shower with a low curb surrounded by a frameless glass enclosure and a stone mosaic accent tile. A fun detail in the primary bath is on the backsplash, where we bordered the stone mosaic tile with the porcelain shower wall tile.
